All the material on this disc, none of it originally for cello, has been arranged specially for Vassallo to perform and record by the admired cellist and composer José Bragato. None of the tracks here exemplifies the web of relationships, in a world where people live and work for each other, more than the well-known Adios Nonino , composed by Piazzolla on the death of his father.

Eduardo Vassallo – Cello
Cristina Filoso – Piano
Arranged by José Bragato

Italian-born Bragato was one of Piazzolla’s closest friends and advocates. He emigrated to Argentina when still a child. In Vassallo’s words he “became like a brother to Piazzolla – and he was like an uncle to me!”
