This CD follows the Mozart String Quartets Volume I (SOMMCD 040). This sextet of works reveals the stylistic trends which were influencing their composer at this time: Italianate lyricism and Salzburger strength and effect. Coull display throughout a genuine feel for the quartet medium, each instrument a partner on equal terms with its colleagues.
