SOMM Recordings is thrilled to share that our Serge Koussevitzky Conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra – Live recording has been nominated for a 2023 International Classical Music Award in the Historical Album category!
This year’s nominations include many renowned soloists, ensembles, conductors and orchestras as well as a lot of young musicians, many of them being first-nominees. A total of 391 audio and video productions (+14) from 117 labels have been nominated. To become a nomination, a production needs to be proposed by at least two jury members.
The final result with all winners will be announced on January 18, 2023, and the Award Ceremony and Gala concert will take place in Wrocław, Poland on April 21, hosted by the NFM Philharmonic.
This marks the second year in a row for SOMM to be nominated in the Historical Album category as our George Szell and the Cleveland Orchestra: The Forgotten Recordings album was nominated in 2022!
